Video: Sonic Youth 100% Video Clip

Before the TV show My Name is Earl actor Jason Lee used to be a hot professional skater. He even started a skate company (Stereo Skateboards). Let’s blame Kevin Smith for turning Jason away from skating and into acting as Smith cast Lee in a main role in Mallrats.

Lee was so good in Mallrats he progressed to get another invite from Smith to act in Chasing Amy, and then another invite to join Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks II. Damn, that Kevin Smith denying us all of Jason’s skating talents!

The legendary Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Where The Wild Things Are) actually directed the clip 100% for Sonic Youth that features Jason skating like the good ol’ days.

Sit back and enjoy this classic tune featuring classic skate moves, made by a classic director.

About noisynoodle

I am a noisy noodle hailing from Melbourne, Australia who loves listening to noise in all forms, but preferably in music, TV and film. I’ve moonlighted on community radio at SYN-FM many years ago when I was still a “youth”. My mission is to promote live music (get off your bum and see something!), highlight interesting TV shows that are ignored by the ratings, expose some cool films and to not go deaf trying!
