Video: Z-Machines and Squarepusher Sad Robot Goes Funny Clip

The future of music is robots. Don’t kid yourself, Daft Punk are not robots. Z-Machines are robots! And the were built in Japan so they are authentic intelligent robots.

Z-Machines guitarist MACH has 78 fingers and uses 12 picks. Beat that human guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen! The drummer ASHURA has 22 arms! COSMO is the keyboardist and he might be better than Elton John.

Warp Records will be releasing Music For Robots the 5-track EP composed by electro-extraordinaire Squarepusher and performed by the 3 robots on 7 April 2014 (R-Day, I’m calling it).

This is like no other sci-fi I’ve ever read. Why didn’t I think of this earlier? Let’s learn from Mikhail Kalashnikov’s dying regret and avoid building machines that can come back to kill us.

Let’s create robots that stimulate our minds with music. They seem to be very good at prog v. classical.

For a minute I thought I was listening to a new Tool album. But of course not, one must wait another decade for such things.

Long live musical robots!

About noisynoodle

I am a noisy noodle hailing from Melbourne, Australia who loves listening to noise in all forms, but preferably in music, TV and film. I’ve moonlighted on community radio at SYN-FM many years ago when I was still a “youth”. My mission is to promote live music (get off your bum and see something!), highlight interesting TV shows that are ignored by the ratings, expose some cool films and to not go deaf trying!
