Video: Sharon Van Etten Taking Chances Lyric Video

Taking Chances is a song from singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten’s new album, Are We There, to be released on 26 May 2014. I think the lyric video created by Alison Vuocolo-Chapman and David Kessler is pretty cool, and I wonder if that is Sharon’s hand writing the text out (if so, nice touch!).

I’d like to see a matching lyric sheet inserted along with the CD/LP but I’m demanding when it comes to detail. Did I mention there will be limited editions of Are We There in CD and vinyl? Get in quick before I buy up all the copies and raise the price on eBay. Note to self: this is a good idea. Did I type that aloud?

Sharon ditched Aaron Dessner (The National) as producer this time around as she wanted to prove herself, obviously there are some stupid people in the world who doubted her and have no idea how talented this woman is.

Attention: Stupid People. Sharon Van Etten is AMAZING.

Are We There was produced with help from engineer John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Kurt Vile, The Living End).

Sharon Van Etten is on tour from May to August across the US, Canada and Europe. Don’t take any chances today (*wink*), get your ticket online before her entire tour sells out.
