Video: James Vincent McMorrow Performs Red Dust Live

The sensational singer-songwriter James Vincent McMorrow returns to Australia this May for a full tour. I bestowed McMorrow with a gushing live review earlier this year, and even though it is only March I doubt any other act this side of 2014 is going to knock my socks off as much this year.

With the release of Post Tropical in January 2014 and the album’s electronic direction McMorrow stunned with his follow-up album to the predominantly folk-inspired Early In The Morning. He is a man of many musical talents.

James Vincent McMorrow Australian Tour Dates:

  • Wednesday 21 May, Perth, Astor Theatre
  • Friday 23 May, Brisbane, QPAC
  • Tuesday 27 May, Melbourne, Forum Theatre
  • Thursday 29 May, Sydney, Vivid Sydney Opera House

Tickets:

  • Tickets on sale, 9am Friday 28 March 2014 via Ticketmaster and venue outlets.
  • Pre-sale tickets on sale Wednesday 26 March to 8.59am, Friday 28 March 2014. Get in quick before the heathens claim your tickets.

If you only take one piece of advice from me all year, then make it this gem:

Get yourself to a James Vincent McMorrow show, pronto.

Come May 2014, you will be kissing my feet in thanks for the religious experience… or the orgasm you might have when you hear Red Dust performed live – approx. 3:35 in the clip :0

About noisynoodle

I am a noisy noodle hailing from Melbourne, Australia who loves listening to noise in all forms, but preferably in music, TV and film. I’ve moonlighted on community radio at SYN-FM many years ago when I was still a “youth”. My mission is to promote live music (get off your bum and see something!), highlight interesting TV shows that are ignored by the ratings, expose some cool films and to not go deaf trying!
