Video: Joan As Police Woman Forever and a Year Acoustic Performance

The soulful Joan Wasser aka Joan As Police Woman returns to Australian shores this winter to play a run of live shows. Tickets are on sale next week, with pre-sale tickets available this weekend if you are so inclined.

Wasser sings about intimate moments, love, loss and joy – she is an honest songwriter. You can almost read the emotion of those emotional moments in her facial expressions when she performs.

I haven’t seen her perform her solo material as yet, but I did get to see Wasser rock it out on the violin in The Dambuilders when they supported Jeff Buckley on his final Australian tour.

She seems to play with gusto. I like that in an artist. It shows they care about their art.

About noisynoodle

I am a noisy noodle hailing from Melbourne, Australia who loves listening to noise in all forms, but preferably in music, TV and film. I’ve moonlighted on community radio at SYN-FM many years ago when I was still a “youth”. My mission is to promote live music (get off your bum and see something!), highlight interesting TV shows that are ignored by the ratings, expose some cool films and to not go deaf trying!
