Video: Run The Jewels – Run The Jewels Clip.

Run The Jewels and Zack de la Rocha (Rage Against The Machine), these are a few of my favourite things and they are teaming up for the next instalment of Run The Jewels (aka Run The Jewels 2).

El-P and Killer Mike promised there would be a new Run The Jewels record this year at the Laneway Festival and true to their word the recording process has been captured by Travis Barker from Blink-182 in pictorial form (he’ll also feature on the new record).

El-P also took some snaps himself of the great man:

yes it really is happening. #RTJ2

This is sweet news as Zack has been hiding away from us for some time now. Granted, Zack provided a guest vocal on Melding of the Minds for Deltron 3030’s comeback album Event II last year but one track per year is simply not enough.

I was already excited to think there would be a new Run The Jewels album out in 2014, and now Killer Mike and El-P have gone and added the cherry on top!

This just might make up for Coachella screwing Killer Mike over last week out of a sing along with OutKast with their stupid fucking curfews.

About noisynoodle

I am a noisy noodle hailing from Melbourne, Australia who loves listening to noise in all forms, but preferably in music, TV and film. I’ve moonlighted on community radio at SYN-FM many years ago when I was still a “youth”. My mission is to promote live music (get off your bum and see something!), highlight interesting TV shows that are ignored by the ratings, expose some cool films and to not go deaf trying!
